The Natural State (with subtitles) Today my advice again is to stay and identify only with the Beingness —just the natural, formless Presence. It's impersonal. It has no shape. It has no categorisation. Just keep the attention on verifying this, on just confirming this in a very natural and wordless way. Remain as the Being. At first, it may seem to take some effort. But it gets easier and easier each time you honour this. Of course, we know that through habit the pull is to go towards the mind energy —thoughts and feelings, memories, intentions, attachments, desires. That's been the old habit. But we see that they don't lead anywhere, apart from bringing you into a state of duality and hiding your true peace, contentment and harmony. So remain only as the neutral witness. By this I mean, witness without interest or identity. Stay only as the Self. Stay only as the natural sense of presence. And like this, nothing from the mind will stick. Just like writing on water. Nothing remains to be read. You cannot read it over again. Or drawing a face in space, nothing sticks. And yet, it is still very healthy. Because when true energy and attention are required, to do what is practical, what is truthful, that energy will naturally come. And so it will not feel like it's a strain. You're not feeling that you're missing out on something important. But as often as you can, keep confirming, wordlessly, your natural state of impartial, neutral, silent Presence witnessing. See that witnessing itself happens very naturally. It's not a doing. There's nothing to do. And yet, energies will move in the body to do what needs to be done. This is a great discovery. A great discovery. That you're not running away from life. You are life and the witnessing of the life that you are. And all is one. So the quintessential pointing? Remain as the impersonal witnessing Presence. It's not an activity in itself, it's more a quality of being. Silent complete unmoving peaceful uninvolved naturally present. Present and presence. The functioning of perception happens naturally, unforced, without any movement from Presence, from Being. You are here. This is your natural state, natural position. Things can only get better, in the sense that your peace is not disrupted. Your calmness covers everything in the field of your perceiving. You're naturally happy. Of course, waves play in the dynamic field. There can be some tension. There can be some thought activity. These can come. Don't judge. Notice that they come in the unchanging space of awareness. Offer all things that dance within you to the All-ness. Do not take delivery, do not accept, do not become a shape that things can strike against. Be the infinite shapelessness. It is already so. It is already so. If you feel that there's something to achieve, it's only to acknowledge, to accept, and to see and confirm. It is already so. All is well like this. Om.
